July 30, 2005:
First of all I want to start with my new affiliate, Fallen Sky. It's SmthBlue's site with gorgeous fanart. So definetly check that site out.
Other than that, I don't have an awful lot of new updates. Just a few new icons and collages. I hope to update again in the coming weeks, but my parents bought a new house, which means I'm moving too. We get the key to the new house Monday and my parents want to move within two weeks of that. That we officially live there. Luckily, there doesn't need to be done a lot on the new house, so it'll be done pretty quickly. But still it's a hectic two weeks ahead of me. I already packed so many things, but seriously, I just have too much shit. I have papers and books and stories everywhere, which means I have to go through it all to see what I can keep and what is garbage. So I'm pretty busy with that and I also have stuff to do around the house to help out with the moving, but I intend on still making new icons and maybe collages. Although making collages doesn't always work out so good. Like just now I wanted to make a Veronica piece from episode 21 and I just couldn't find the right captures. The really hq Kristen Bell site seems to be hacked or something, so I can't get the hq pics from there and all the screencaps there are are great, really GREAT, for making icons, but just not for making large pieces. So I mostly stick to making icons out of those pictures. Which really sucks. Because I also want to grow more in my collage-making-skills.

Okay. I have 45 new Veronica Mars icons. They're all from the episode "A Trip To The Dentist", which I so loved. I just had several moments in mind that I had to iconize. But in the end there were really so much more, especially in the end. But I'm sure I'll get to those later. Just these for now and I'm pretty satisfied with the turn out. And then I also have 22 Joan Of Arcadia icons from the episode "Wealth Of Nations". I wanted to make just random JoA icons, but for some reason I always have to do the whole episode. I hope you like the icons. Credit for the used gradients/textures/brushes is on the main page and I used captures from Jems

And then I have three new pieces. The first one I made for a challenge at Marshmallow Blends. It had to be around some kind of dance, so I picked "Russkie Bussiness" from Veronica Mars, because I wanted to do a VM piece. Again, working with the captures was really hard so I tried something different. I don't think I quite like the outcome, but it was an experiment. The second piece is also from that same episode, only I used hq pics from that site which seems to be hacked. It's just Veronica and I quite like the outcome. That's why I also used it for the layout at my livejournal. I cut the right picture for my layout, because I think it doesn't quite fit with the piece overall. But the text from Tori Amos seemed to fit. For me too. And then the last piece, which I made for Effulgent Blends. It's a Lauren Graham piece, with the hq pictures provided there. Again this collage was a bit of an experiment, but I think I handled this one quite right and I like the outcome of it.

July 23, 2005:
I'm back with updates again. First I want to thank all the people who tagged me recently. I really appreciate that. Thank you Nikole (shirtless Sawyer makes it all better indeed!), Christina, Jenny and Maartje (did you watch all of VM yet? I did and it rocks!). Nelly also changed URL's, so I changed the link of her site Damned Soul

I may not update here a whole lot anymore, but that's because I spend a lot of time on Livejournal. I am still very invested in this site, even though there aren't a lot of updates. It is my archive for everything and that's what makes it important. It's just that I don't use this site as an outlet for talks and whatever anymore, because I do that on my livejournal. So, let's start with what I've updated. First I updated the awards with two new ones. I added the one I got at Lost Awards at the first page, because those I also did not win with a contest. An icon of mine was nominated there and I won. I won three times there, all three in the catagory "Solitary", which features the unexplained about the island, the mysteries. Guess I'm doing something right with that ;) I also transferred one of the older banners I got from there to that section. I also won in some other Award communities, but they don't have banners. And the other award is a bronze one, which I got for my Sun piece at Effulgent Blends. I didn't think I would win with that piece, but I did. So yay for that. And I also added two banners I got for the two 100 icon batches I did for Icons100. I loved the banners, so of course they are up here. And I also added an original story to the 'writings' section. I'm in the progress of writing other (non-original though) stories, but that's not working as I want it to be.

Then of course there are new icons. 117 Lost icons to begin with. With 100 of them being for 100of__. This community is a bit more elite and for everything. Ships, episodes, seasons and all fandoms. I picked general flashbacks from Lost for the first batch. I haven't done a lot of flashbacks ones. So I updated all the Lost pages and there are now 4 and re-organized again. New icons to a lot of episodes and I hope you like them. Also some promo pictures used and a scene between Locke and Claire in "Numbers" for the other 17. I added 15 new Backstreet Boys icons, 28 Veronica Mars icons from "Credit Where Credit Is Due" and 12 Everwood icons. I hope you like them. You will probably see more Veronica Mars icons soon, because I'm totally in love with the show after I've just seen all the episodes. I want to do more episodes, though I might not cover all. I don't have a piece for this show yet, but I do have two new pieces.
I made two pieces for Afterglow Blends. I hope to make new ones today for other challenges, but for now two for that site. There were gorgeous pictures, but I experimented a bit with the pieces, so I'm not sure how good they came out. Like on the Amber Tamblyn piece I experimented with an effect that is used on icons a lot these days. I did use textures, but those you can't see anymore. I used gradients by Crumblingwalls. The second piece is one of Katie Holmes. I played with lightening a texture on this one and I think I like it. It's another experiment of sorts, but I tried to keep it as close to my style as possible. I might make another piece of both ladies, because Nicole had such gorgeous hq pictures up and I love those pictures. I used textures on both pieces from Innamoramento and Imagination. The credit for the brushes used on my icons are all up at the main page or of course, my livejournal. Pictures used there from Lost Media, Not Like You, Wickedripeplum, LittrellFans, Everwood Online and Numerocinco.

July 7, 2005:
More than a month has passed, but here I am again.

And what an awful day it is. I can't believe that tonight I'm going to have to celebrate my graduation (because I did pass yay!), while terrorists attacked London. I've been watching the news all day so far, because I want to stay up to date and I'm outraged and I'm afraid in a way. And most of all, my thoughts are with all the people that are somehow affected by this. If they were there, if they were wounded or if they are waiting for news on their loved ones or even lost loved ones, my thoughts are with you. The mayor of London said something, that this is not an ideology what the 'terrorists' have and that they really shouldn't be named terrorists and that what they did is attacked citizens. Normal citizens and not the world leaders. And he is true.

But I updated. I have a lot of new icons. No blanks anymore, just textless icons everynow and then. I made 54 Backstreet Boys icons. I'm so glad they're back and I'm loving their album. And I'm going to see them live!!! I hope you like the icons, quite a lot of them are slash though, but that's because I love just that. I also have 9 Maggie Gyllenhaal and 7 Alica Keys icons. And 100 "The Hours" icons, again for Icons100. I loved doing that and making icons of that oh so gorgeous movie. The beautiful scenes were great for making icons. And then I also have 46 new Lost icons. From "Walkabout" I made a batch and I made ones from the so gorgeous UK promo, which you just have to see if you haven't. It's gorgeous and the caps were not of such high quality, unfortunately, but I loved making the icons. And then 24 Veronica Mars. I wanted to download VM for so long, but it never worked. I now watched up to episode 5 and I am loving it. A really good show, which I definetly suggest to all of you who haven't watched it. And I cannot wait to download more episodes and watch it.
Credits for stuff in icons: brushes/gradients/textures are all up at main icon page. Pictures from Last Beautiful Girl, LittrellFans, OneVoice, Voodoo_in_tx (also has the Lost clip up!), Wickedripeplum and Lost Media

Then I have a new award, which I was so surprised with. I won Gold at Afterglow Blends! And three new pieces. The first one is an entry for Effulgent Blends. The theme was Blue Sun and I took that quite literal. Sun being blue. I'm not too fond of the piece, but I tried some new things. Texture from Thia. The other two pieces are entries for Tragically Beautiful Blends. The first one is Eliza Dushku. I tried an effect on this piece which I know from icons. I think it looks okay and I tried to make her face look pretty. Texture again from Thia. And the third and last one is an "The Hours" piece. Based on the song "Slide" by Dido. I thought it fitted Veronica in that moment. The blending didn't go well, because this is a bit different from what I'm used to. But I wanted to see if I could do this. Texture from Innamoramento. And I'll leave it at this, maybe I'll update more later this week, but for now I just want to watch the news some more.

June 16, 2005:
I am updating, while being quite nervous. I will be getting the results for my final exams today and it's quite nerve-wrecking, to be honest. I will get a call if I didn't pass the exams. But if I have to retake the exam, I don't get a call, so I have to call at 6 pm. God, it's so nerve-wrecking this. So I made a lot of pieces to get my mind of things.

I updated the livejournal icons. I made 100 Friends icons for Icons100, which is a great livejournal community. And it gave me the oppurtunity to make Friends icons again. I am quite happy with this batch. I wanted to put them up organized, but my brother is waiting to get behind this computer, so I'm doing that the next time. I got the captures/pictures from: Leftofmyheart, here, here, and here and I made my own. The credit for gradients/textures and such are all up at the main livejournal icon page. I also added a Gilmore Girls icon, that I made for an icontest.
Okay. I made a lot of pieces. The first one is an entry for Effulgent Blends. It had to be a cliffhanger scene. And of course I chose Lost. To be honest, I'm not so happy with how this piece turned out. The blending was hard, the pictures weren't of great quality. So yeah. But I made one of the most (for me) terrifying scenes that I had not expected before going into the finale. The second piece is Jennifer Aniston. I got these gorgeous pictures lying around and I had to use them. They're from Last Beautiful Girl. When I was busy making the piece I had this feeling and used lyrics from "Superhero" by Ani DiFranco. I tried to add more quotes this time, so it's a bit experimental. The third piece features Alexis Bledel. I already used these gorgeous pictures for icons and now I made a piece of it. The pictures were gorgeous and I did something different with this piece. I hope you like it. The last two are both entries for Afterglow Blends. I tried to experiment again with the Angelina Jolie piece. Especially with the blending and the different textures I used. It's been a lot of fun making that one, though I am not so sure about the end results. I am however quite happy with how the Michelle Trachtenberg piece. The pictures were so hq and so gorgeous and it gave me this dark vibe/feeling, that I just love for creating stuff. I picked lyrics by Sarah McLachlan to go along with the piece and I loved playing with texture-use. I hope that shows. I added the most recent awards here. I got them at the sites I made entries for again. I love the sites and am always so pleased to receive awards. Always.

Textures I used for my pieces are from: Innamoramento, Thia, Shanti and Textura.
